I dislike wedding gift lists people do all from one shop - I do believe you should buy a present that is personal and means something rather than kit out someone's house for them with expensive matching china they'll never use!
Speaking of the royal wedding, it was a really grand celebration as expected. Anyway, for wedding gifts I prefer giving something based on the couple's interest.
